Happy Mardi Gras 2012! Spent the past two weeks preparing for this kickoff parade which took place today on MLK ( float building, classroom crafts, costume making). Kids had a blast, I had a blast and now it’s time to relax and enjoy.

Oh, I didn’t actually take the picture of the Mardi Gras Indian in the photo I just admire the tradition and work that goes into the construction of this costume.
